Which one do you think will be the most successful?
Im thinking Wii or 360. Total honesty here, the Wii blew me away. I was totally impressed with what nintendo showed.
Microsofts was more of the same, but thats not always bad.
Sonys conference was great untill they showed the price. wow, is all i have to say.

So Naru
just watched the first day of E3.
Well, it's mostly what Naru expected.
The PS3 looks pretty much the same as the 360.
Only now it's got a motion controller to go against Nintendo.
All in all, Naru isn't certain about that $599 price tag.
That's going to be around $650 after taxes...Brutal.
The Nintendo Wii
plays like Naru's Star Wars Xavix lightsaber game.
Great fun for a while, then your tired and sweaty.
There goes long term gameplay right out the window.
Naru hopes they have a lazy-ass alternative control scheme.
The 360
Halo 3, didn't see that coming.
Seriously Naru hopes tomorrow is more exciting.

Naru doesn't have a prediction.
You friends do realize
that the console war for Sony
is the small potato.
In fact their real strategy here is
to dictate the new media format (Blue Ray)
Which they will receive a portion of money from
if that becomes the embraced format.
Naru believes HD DVD is the Blue Ray competition.
This is why they put Blue Ray into the PS3.
When these new Dvd players become available
they will be expensive, predicted more than the PS3.
So if people buy the PS3 they automatically have chosen
Blue Ray as the new media.
You see?
It's all about having stock in the next media type.
That's why their risking their ass on a $600 game platform.
Now Naru has no idea weather Blue Ray is better than HD DVD,
Naru hasn't seen either one.
If anyone has some specs, by all means
post them here.

I didn't see the pre-e3 press conferences
but I'm guessing the PS3'll go fine, and since I have no idea about the other two...lol
Yes, HD DVD v Blue Ray is like Beta v VHS apparently, some magazine I subscribed to gave some specs, here:
Blu-Ray:
Single-Layer = 25GB
Double = 50GB
Multiple Layer technology = Possible 250GB in the future
Data Transfer = 36Mbps
Native support = Mpeg2,4,AVC,SMPTE VC.1 (I have no clue lol)
Audio Support = 8 Channels of linear PCM, Dolby Digital AC-3, Dolby Digial Plus, Dolby TrueHD, DTS, DTS-HD
HD DVD:
Single-Layer = 15GB
Double = 30GB
Rest are the same
Apparently HD DVDs have a smaller distance between 'pits' on the disc, and are manufactured in the same fashion as DVDs, so Blu-ray is probably more expensive.
I was bored

I looked yesterday at a blu-ray rewriter on www.overclockers.co.uk, 600 just for that... I knew sony was gonna be selling PS3 at a loss, considering the price of the XDR RAM, CELL and RSX, but thew blu-raydrive is overkill, oh-well, Blu-ray will win since it's got the porno market behind it, as VHS did.. and so Sony will make lots of cash.. yey

whoa! Blu-ray has the porno market! BLU-RAY FOR THE WIN! Heres to hoping the damn prices fall through the roof and keep falling until they hit what cd writers are nowadays (keeps dreaming) aka ps3 also goes down and theres that tinly larger change i might actually get a console.

Sony and microsoft are big name companies and have other means to make money than just games. Don't know nor care about who will make more money and have a stronger system. I just care about the games and how fun they are. I somewhat got the impression that the 360 seem like a beta next gen system. Seen a few games of theirs that end up not being fully working or at least to where it's enjoyable. Might me because I have a nice pc and some games like CoD2, Quake4, and Oblivion I have/borrowed for the pc. I know little about the PS3, all I knew about them is they are allowing their older games be run in there (smart move) and have a controller that be something batman would use. The Wii (still a stupid name) has a weird controller that scared me at first but the fact they allow the old gc controller in there and they having their price low is really nice.
Now gamewise. The 360 will have halo3 and maybe halo4 in the future but that might be it other than some titles that will be on other systems or pc... Oh forgot they have Rare now. The PS3 will have the squareenix titles and some other rpg titles (personally only liked Square's old products on the old nintendo systems). The Wii (imature laugh) will have their own titles like metroid, mario brothers, mariokart, starfox, etc.
I'm siding with Wii cause even though Gamecube haven't made a really good title in awhile, nintendo still makes some really fun games that will keep you and and your friends playing for years. But the one that will outlast will be........... the PC!

Voted Wii.
I know it's unrealistic but I really like the direction that Nintendo are heading in with the Wii. Everyone likes to see new spiffy graphics on HDTV's but to see the same old TAT rolled out generation after generation is beginning to take it's toll on my gaming enthusuiasm. Sick of the FiFa's , the NFSU's etc.
Although Nintendo do largely count on it's big name catalogue it's the way they inject new life into each iteration of the game that keeps me playing.
With the Wii (As with the DS) , they have reinspired me. Games are about enjoyment. Imagine a few mates around with the Wii, four player mayhem (Alcohol Fuelled probably).
Can't wait for the likes of Super Mario Galaxy.

Wii 100%
Everything else looked the same, no other system has interested me other than the Wii. Most of the good games that are already on the xbox360 are also being released for pc so whats the point ? and with the price of the ps3 (600 bucks) i know the games wont be cheap... but there are a few that might be worth it (Mgs4, ect).

Exactly, it seem for awhile now we just seem to get repeated crap. To be honest, I haven't seen anything from the 360 heck even in the normal xbox thats not already on pc other than halo2. the playstation has their squaresoft stuff but to be honest is final fantasy even a big deal anymore? I think FF6 was the last great one and it went downhill from here (my opinion, not a ff7 fan).
Before I ramble on again, just look past the newer engines and fancy graphics or spiffy new interface, etc. Just ask yourself: "Are you having fun with these games?" if not, then why are you playing. Sadly alot of game companies forgotten about making a fun game, and rather make medicore titles as fast as they could.
