I have heard that "Wii" was suppose to represent the unity of nintendo players. In essence, "We". However the grammer behind the name, if the idea is even remotely true, is completely off. Maybe due to possible engrish. It might be a japanese word, but I haven't heard any evidence to back up on that idea. As for the spelling, I have no clue.

By the way, nice to meet everyone.

I'm not calling it the Wii, I have my pride. Some kind of irrational Feudal Japanese(ironic) pride:

He didn't wanna open the ports to the Americans, in fact, he wanted them to GTFO, seeing as he couldn't do that he made a compromise to do anything possible but to allow Perry and his cahoots venture about Edo Townships.

Kinda like how I feel about the Wii, I'm all in favour of Nintendo releasing a new console with the name Revolution, but they're adament on this idea, or "philosophy" of the Wii, I have to give some ground.

I accept that they named it the Wii, But I'm going to call it the "Rev" just for a little while, I'm sure I'll warm to it eventually.

WII or Revolution is the same but don't care too much.
The question is, why they called revolution when they begin making the design?
The answer is simple, they say that the 'WII' should be a revolutionary system, a new brand console.
The reason of this is also simple, the one that wrote the comment use the name of revolution to talk aboutr the system.
Revolution is the unofficial name.
WII is the official name that nintendo give the system.

Well the good thing about the Nintendo Wii is that it's gonna be cheaper than playstation 3. So if you ask me which one I would buy, it would be Playstation 3...
