Narrarator: (In Jap with subtitles) "... and so the Lone Samurai continued his journey to solve the one last mystery."
Lone Samurai: (In Jap with subtitles) "OMFG YOU KILLED MY FATHER!"
Bad Guy: (In Jap with subtitles) "Actually, the truth is..."
My brother: (English) "AHHHHH! *Stabs my face with butcher knife.*"
Me: "NO! WHAT DID HE DO TO HIS FATHER?! *Ignores blood spilling down face.*"
And that's why.

Although I will admit that watching the Japanese version can sometimes be better (EG: the fan subs of FLCL I have, explaining things such as the kids name), more often it's just more convienient to watch in English.
Furthermore, if I wanted to read, I'd pick up a comic, they're usually drawn better anyway, and the animations just as good.
Speaking of animation, I'd just all in all rather watch american cartoons. They always have better voices, they're usually animated better, and there are actually *gasp* DIFFERENT DRAWING STYLES! (EG: Rocko's Modern Life, The Simpsons, and Ed, Ed, and Eddy)

psst, you forgot to mention that anime japanese isn't really "spoken japanese" anyway.

Yeah man, brothers are annoying! And you know what the worst part is? His knife got stuck! We couldn't pull it out!
And I missed what happened to the Lone Samurai...

n.
A style of animation developed in Japan, characterized by stylized colorful art, futuristic settings, violence, and sex.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Japanese, short for animshon, animation, from English animation.]
Guess that would be: The American HeritageŽ Dictionary of the English Language, Fourth Edition

No, it isn't. Ragnarok is a game and an anime, but it's Korean - not Japanese. See, if you went by that logic, then all airplanes and cars would be American.

what do you mean by that? Do Japan has many dialects? I know they have many writing styles, 2 are hiragana and katakana. I always watch Japanese dubbed anime and they always speak the same word.

And as for Rangarok, it was ok, but it was also based on a game, which comes with complecations. The drawing styles and methods were originated in japan, so they all have a japanese influence to a degree. And note that it said DEVELOPED not "all anime is japanese". You need to read what's there and not read extra little lines of words that you think I said.
