Warlock : (06 February 2012 - 09:07 PM) This will be my new toy this Saturday - http://www.bestbuy.c...6&skuId=2769576
Theredbaron : (06 February 2012 - 04:11 AM) Life, tiss full of FARK YOU! Moments.
Warlock : (05 February 2012 - 09:20 AM) LOL :D
Theredbaron : (05 February 2012 - 02:57 AM) Haha, that is the same for me, cept with newegg. :) I checked both stores, cause they are both "good" ones, but newegg was always cheaper for what I wanted, Also, hen I ordered my case it said it would be a week or so to get here, got here in 2 days.
Warlock : (04 February 2012 - 01:27 PM) I'm a Tiger fan but only because when ever I've looked for stuff, Tiger always had what I needed and usually cheaper than NewEgg. I even get great delivery time with Tiger. A lot faster than what's stated! :D
Theredbaron : (03 February 2012 - 07:07 PM) I ended up getting one that tiger didn't have, so :P to tiger.
Theredbaron : (03 February 2012 - 07:07 PM) No where near. Tiger is nothing compared to Newegg. When I built my computer, they only had like, 20 vid cards. Newegg had over 100.
Warlock : (03 February 2012 - 11:05 AM) Tiger and NewEgg are roughly the same. Same selection, same prices. LOL
Theredbaron : (02 February 2012 - 03:59 PM) Eh, more of a newegg man myself. Fark tiger. They have shitty selection.
Warlock : (02 February 2012 - 10:37 AM) Check places like Tiger Direct! :D They always have some great deals going on.
Theredbaron : (01 February 2012 - 08:43 PM) Last I checked they were up 20-30 plus. But I haven't checked in a bit. Not since about a week or two after the big floods.
Warlock : (01 February 2012 - 08:52 AM) I haven't seen much change in prices. I've seen a bunch go down. :D
Theredbaron : (31 January 2012 - 05:26 PM) The bad thing is that now all the prices are going up. DAMN YOU GOD! YOUR FLOODS MAKE ME SPEND MORE!
Warlock : (31 January 2012 - 11:02 AM) LOL :D
Theredbaron : (30 January 2012 - 05:07 PM) You sir, are an arse. Need me a new drive, or 10.
Warlock : (30 January 2012 - 12:43 PM) You asked for it - 128MB Lexar Jump Drive, 2GB Kingston DataTraveler, 4GB PNY Optima SDHC (Digital Camera), 32GB Class 10 Adata SDHC (Camcorder), 8GB SanDisk Micro SDHC (my DS), 2GB Micro SD (wife/daughter's DS), 32GB Transcend SDHC Class 10 (Wii - DML), two 2GB Kodak SD, four 2GB SanDisk SD, 4GB Micro SDHC (Wii). All those 2GB SD cards I had for my Rock Band 3 DLC until I was able to emulate the NAND! :D
Theredbaron : (29 January 2012 - 02:49 PM) Lol, yes. O, just remembered more. I also have a 4gb nano g1 and a 4gb nano g2
Warlock : (29 January 2012 - 01:25 PM) LOL No, I just own a lot of electronics! :D
Theredbaron : (28 January 2012 - 05:43 PM) You sir, suck.

I picked up my copy about two weeks ago and I must say that it is highly addictive and very fun. You will never get bored with this game unless you're anti-video games or something in which case why would you be playing? Anyway, in my opinion this is by far the best FF game although FFVII comes close. The only thing I can find bad about this game is that Nobuo Uematsu did not compose the music for this game. sad.gif Please discuss your thoughts on this game here, and if you own it post what server you are on and if I'm on it, I would be more than happy to party with you or give you any kind of help.

It was no where near the best final fantasy game!
Since you said that I'm just going to assume that you've only played FF games that were officialy released in America, or FFIII... Plus I couldn't fully enjoy it cuz I can only get on the comp in 1 hour intervals cuz my family shares a comp...

FFXI was ok, but $15 a month is just stupid for a game that isnt that great. If your going to pay $15 a month, WoW is about the only thing (IMO) worth it.

wrong with that, although you may want to think

First of all, I have played all FF games released to date (except for FFX-2) and second, how can you properly judge a game that you even admitted to not being able to fully enjoy? Well, that's my thoughts.

As a side note I would like you all to know that this topic was made to help people and not to play host to your rants on FFXI. I suggest that you take that and your negative aditudes somewhere else.

Many people I know are playing it, but it's too expensive for my tastes. I have to purchase a high end graphics card, the game, and pay the monthly fee. I could get a PS2, but it woulds end up costing more.

You asked my opinion. I gave it. If my opinion inspires someone not to by it then I DID help. I was also talking about the ones never released in America, not just the American 1-11.

Um...Every FF except III has been officially released in America. And thats because III stinks HARD. (and yes I'm using the real numbers not the SNES / SQUARESOFT *beep* up of the 90's).

FFI, II, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, X-2, XI all available on the PS or PS2. FFI & II are available on the GBA as well.

Anyway about the game and OP, I loved it for a few months - and I really should preface that with the fact that I'm what some may call a veteran MMORPGer. In about 3 months time I had made it to level 50, and the game really slowed to a crawl, I got it maybe 2 months after it launched on PC. I'd still be playing today if it wasn't so boring trying to get xp groups together when I had quit about 6 months after playing it. If you don't play that quickly through it or if the end gmae has changed since well over a year ago, you will probably enjoy it much longer than that if you're liking it now.

I really dig the group aspects of the game, the RENKEI system is probably the best 'learn to work with me' system I had seen in a game at that time. EQ2 tried to emulate that and it worked fairly well, better for hte noobs as the timing wasn't so precise. Pulling off a full party Renkei...there's no better feeling. The game really brings your group together to be one killing machine like EQ did for me back in the day. The world is quite large, and the amount of quests is deafaning at first. I loved the little thigns you could do on the side too, fishing was it's own game in and of itself, as was gardnening. There were others but I didn't go into those...unlocking hte classes became an addiction for a while - had everything on my Elvaan - do NOT try to play any sort of magic class as an Elvaan except White Mage. Summoner and Black Mage is just useless. Getting them to level 15 is good for the bonus' though, I got my white mage up to 46 because of the severe lack of healers.

I've thought about returning to the game, I have it on my PS2 (came with the HDD so I had no choice) and want to play it there sitting on my couch. But I am too into WoW atm tongue.gif. And when I quit that its time for a breather from MMORPG's. Those games keep me from sleep too often.

Well, paying to play for a game isn;t all the hard. Either you get a deal with your parents if you don't have a credit card to play it, or you go get a job and work at least 10 hours a week and you can get plenty of money to play the game, and save for later games.

FFXI is alright to me. I like it for the art and story, though the sucky part is tryign to get through the story. Also the fact that like most MMOs, FFXI is being milked for all it's worth by gil sellers and other illegal markets.

THe game also can get rather competative, since item prices can be jacked up by people playign the game market, and fidning the item form a monster is a challenge all in its own, since you got bots camping the monster almost 24/7. But if you can get around all the crap, it's a fun game.

I played ff11 on off for about 2-3 months...

lvl 21 pld
lvl 30 war
lvl 15 mnk
lvl 10 smn
lvl 10 whm
ect

and well...i was a bit dissapointed, to start off....the team building system is rubbish, i would sometimes wait around for 1hr or longer to get into a party that breaks up straigh away.
Its easy to die...and loosing exp sucks, theres just so many disapointing aspects of this game.

back to runescape..hah

I really enjoy the game, although it is slow at first, when you get farther in it starts to pick up speed. The story of the game is awesom, and it is a great deal differant that every other MMORPG. (Runs off a different base system, not like the abilities in GuildWars/WoW, but stuff like TP.)

meh. i was really hyped for it when it came out, and got it for ps2 with some friends the day of release. It was decent, and enjoyable at some parts. I did like the flexibility and absence of forced commitment provided by the job system, but i found money waaaaaaaay to hard to come by for what items cost, and the hole game moves at about 1/4 normal speed.

In the end i found it to be an excercise in tedium, unlike AO or WoW that simply progress faster.
