I like bahumut lagoon better because of many reasons. I will state them periodically throughout the thread.

Never played Bahumut Lagoon but I'm hoping for a Chrono Trigger GBA game.

Its for SNES DUH, comparing inter-platform would be...DUMB...
i choose BL! cause i like wooping dudes with a invincible dragon....meh, i thought the graphics in CT were...crappy, and i didn't particulary like the battles either

i liked BL's way with the dragons, the way you can customize it and unique system. i guess the same can be said with chrono except with the dragon part. both excellent games!!!

Gold! You have golden eyes. You tend to be quite
distant, and may come off as depressed. In
truth, you are, but once people get to know
you, a smile or a laugh breaks through your
emotion barrier every now and then!

You might be a sub-category of bishounen, but this hardly matters since you don't notice anything that didn't feature in the last edition of Guns'n'Ammo magazine. You have been trained since an unfeasibly early age to be a machine of death and destruction. If you've noticed an annoying girl following you around and repeatedly getting into danger and requiring rescue recently, run like hell - she's probably your love interest... Which generic anime character are you? |

QUOTE(Manix @ Nov 24 2004, 07:24 AM)
I completely agree with Manix. The thought of Chrono Trigger - heralded by many in its heyday, and still replayed today, on the SNES or PSX - being overwhelmed by Bahamut Lagoon, of all games, makes me giggle like a schoolgirl.
And CUSTOMIZATION? Oh dear, that really makes me snicker. Would you rather play an RPG with a system that let you customize your party but with a half-assed story, or an RPG with a relatively customizable party - to a certain extent - and a well-developed, fleshed-out story (with excellent canon characters to boot)? How about a golf game that let you customize your golf club and/or character, but with physics that make the golf ball go backwards (as opposed to forwards) so that you can't go anywhere and never win? Wouldn't you rather play a golf game without customization, but with better visuals or physics or something of that sort?
I know what you're thinking. "OH, you're talking about GOLF, that's DIFFERENT." Think about it for a second. It's exactly the same thing.

At first I was going to hurt you for reviving a dead topic, but since your post was... good, I won't. Kudos.

Ah, forgive me. Because the topic was pretty close to the top of the page, I had thought it was open for discussion.
Sorry about that.

kefkadman: people say im weird tho, maybe they just dont feel enough
Stephanie z: People don't feel enough. People don't like feeling at all. Feeling makes them uncomfortable. It reminds them they're not perfect. No one wants to be sad or angry or scared or unsure. They think that all they need is happiness. So they push everything out. They numb themselves to it until when the time comes for them to actually feel, they can't. They don't know how. They've fixed themselves in a way so that they can't even be happy. In the end they sort of just exist. You're not like that, and they're not used to it.
