So, I have been looking at getting this ultra tiny, mini, small, shrunken, babyish cheap windows CE 5.0 MID. It is set up much like a GBA, just with the L and R on the face, o, and a touch screen. Plus it has a USB host too, so I can hook up a paddle if there are more then 4 buttons. I just don't know if there are any emulator's. I want at least NES and GBC, as it is clocked at 533mhz. Does anyone know of one that works? Ha, I doubt many of you use windows CE, but have you heard of any good ones?

Not sure that's going to play

isn't going to work well.

Why not? The CPU is more then fast enough. The Nano can even play GBC. Also, my old 666mhz pc could play PSX at full speed. Or is there some other thing blocking it?

Back on my old 666mhz, when I turbo'ed it I got it up to 5000% GBC speed, and yet on my 900mhz eee, I only get to 2000%, so yeah, speed isn't everything. Still, the fact that I have found dozen's of different GB emu's, and a few GBA ones, I got hope. Makeing me think I really might get it now.

Well, yeah, kinda. That is why I got to have the huge jacket pocket. Thinking about adding a nice zipper one to the inside back of my jacket for my charger's, cords, and what not. Make my jacket into a backpack too. I normally carry about 10lbs of crap around with me. Don't always use them, but well worth carrying around when I need them. I never know when I am going to be stuck somewhere for hours with nothing to do. Be it that we show up at a customers house, and they are not there yet, and I have to wait god knows how long, or the van dies on me, ect.

Plus, I am the go to person for my family. They need something, they know I can't say no. This often involves me riding along with them to places, cause they HATE going anywhere along. I get bored easily, so I need my vids, games, and music on the go.


Though, really, I think I would replace my Eee with this for my day to day trips.

Never heard, but yeah, sounds like me. With my jacket and my backpack on, I am pretty much ready for anything. I may have to watch that.


Back on subject. I found alot of emu's for it, from SNES to MAME. Very nice. Though, as to if they will work on it, who knows. They were made for specific versions of CE running on other CE devices, so I can't be sure till I try.

Though, A good thing, it does have The Core Player built in. So 90% of all vid files are playable. Plus, mPlayer is playable too.

Well, I still am waiting on my T12, left HK on the 20th. I am going to use that for a while before I get anything else.
I doubt I will get it before Xmas though, just in case my sister gets it for me.

Windows CE is a precursor to Windows Mobile, and as you said is used mostly on PDAs, GPS devices, and commercial embedded devices.
In most setups it looks/feels like Windows 95/98. However, it will not run most Windows programs. For example, you can't just grab any version of Microsoft Office and install it. However, Microsoft has created a Windows CE version of office, and on all the devices I have seen, this is installed by default.

Not really a precurser. More of a side project of CE. They are kinda dual project, but CE isn't used much at all, and mobile as kinda replaced it.

Um the females are ok... Anywho why don't you just make yourself a device. I am pretty sure there micro computers that do everything you just need the money. Lots of companies out now that make super tiny motherboards. I found one fore my turion CPU runs at 300bucks so I can't afford it ATM. All you would need is some instructables on plastic molding, voltage ratings for the touch screen etc etc. Or you could wait for one of the new tablets that are coming out. I myself wouldn't mind carrying a satchel with a mini pappy and a battery pack.

I usually run around with two phones, two pokewlers, about 4-12gigs of memory excluding the micro 4gig in my phone, a screwdriver that has it's bits in the hand... Sometimes I even carry my mini torch.

I have an iPhone 4 that's jb. So it's a super utility. As for wires I carry my iPod cable. I was thinking of making it into a Ycable and making it shorter.

But I hear you on the entertainment. I used to be a passenger a lot. So I carried my life with me in my pockets and jacket. But now I have become more minimalist. Still I carry a lot. Lol one of the flashdrives I carry is a cracking tool. So yeah

Lol oh and for a while I had my gameboy in my back pocket...

I miss wearing cargo pants. Now I wear only jeans. Maybe I should get an ankle holster for tools... Or do they only make them for guns?

Bad thing is that this product is no longer for sell. Tried to get it once I had money, and no longer on the market.

Going to get a pandora once the second run is out. Don't want a first run, let there errors be fixed first.
