I'll admit to having a facebook, but I avoid almost all of the apps like the plauge, especially since they flat out tell you they can use any and all information you've put on you're profile. Even so, facebook in itself is nothing more than a massive targeted advertising site: they've got you're demographic information, and they sure as hell use it.

I don't have any pictures on there I wouldn't want my mom to see. I don't have very much personal information either. I avoid most apps like the plague and delete and unauthorize the ones I do end up using pretty often. I also have Ad Block Plus, so I don't even see any of their targeted ads.

Ha, you guys need to get the Firefox addon called CustomizeGoogle. It lets you anonymize your google cookie UID and and doesn't send any cookies to google analytics. Not only do I not see adds, they don't see me.
