Warlock : (06 February 2012 - 09:07 PM) This will be my new toy this Saturday - http://www.bestbuy.c...6&skuId=2769576
Theredbaron : (06 February 2012 - 04:11 AM) Life, tiss full of FARK YOU! Moments.
Warlock : (05 February 2012 - 09:20 AM) LOL :D
Theredbaron : (05 February 2012 - 02:57 AM) Haha, that is the same for me, cept with newegg. :) I checked both stores, cause they are both "good" ones, but newegg was always cheaper for what I wanted, Also, hen I ordered my case it said it would be a week or so to get here, got here in 2 days.
Warlock : (04 February 2012 - 01:27 PM) I'm a Tiger fan but only because when ever I've looked for stuff, Tiger always had what I needed and usually cheaper than NewEgg. I even get great delivery time with Tiger. A lot faster than what's stated! :D
Theredbaron : (03 February 2012 - 07:07 PM) I ended up getting one that tiger didn't have, so :P to tiger.
Theredbaron : (03 February 2012 - 07:07 PM) No where near. Tiger is nothing compared to Newegg. When I built my computer, they only had like, 20 vid cards. Newegg had over 100.
Warlock : (03 February 2012 - 11:05 AM) Tiger and NewEgg are roughly the same. Same selection, same prices. LOL
Theredbaron : (02 February 2012 - 03:59 PM) Eh, more of a newegg man myself. Fark tiger. They have shitty selection.
Warlock : (02 February 2012 - 10:37 AM) Check places like Tiger Direct! :D They always have some great deals going on.
Theredbaron : (01 February 2012 - 08:43 PM) Last I checked they were up 20-30 plus. But I haven't checked in a bit. Not since about a week or two after the big floods.
Warlock : (01 February 2012 - 08:52 AM) I haven't seen much change in prices. I've seen a bunch go down. :D
Theredbaron : (31 January 2012 - 05:26 PM) The bad thing is that now all the prices are going up. DAMN YOU GOD! YOUR FLOODS MAKE ME SPEND MORE!
Warlock : (31 January 2012 - 11:02 AM) LOL :D
Theredbaron : (30 January 2012 - 05:07 PM) You sir, are an arse. Need me a new drive, or 10.
Warlock : (30 January 2012 - 12:43 PM) You asked for it - 128MB Lexar Jump Drive, 2GB Kingston DataTraveler, 4GB PNY Optima SDHC (Digital Camera), 32GB Class 10 Adata SDHC (Camcorder), 8GB SanDisk Micro SDHC (my DS), 2GB Micro SD (wife/daughter's DS), 32GB Transcend SDHC Class 10 (Wii - DML), two 2GB Kodak SD, four 2GB SanDisk SD, 4GB Micro SDHC (Wii). All those 2GB SD cards I had for my Rock Band 3 DLC until I was able to emulate the NAND! :D
Theredbaron : (29 January 2012 - 02:49 PM) Lol, yes. O, just remembered more. I also have a 4gb nano g1 and a 4gb nano g2
Warlock : (29 January 2012 - 01:25 PM) LOL No, I just own a lot of electronics! :D

Got a new used car little over a week ago. Paid four-hundred for it, and six for a semi used transmission. Nothing fancy, lot of little things need to be fixed. Windshield, window motors, stuff like that.

Well I just got it on the road a few days ago. And today while backing out of a drive way the steering goes out and jerks to the side hitting a pole. Messing the back end up a great deal.

Had to have it towed home. sad.gif

Whenever I start driving I'm going to hunt for a good used car, anything under $1000 is probably not going to be considered.

That really does suck Hitman sad.gif

Thanks guys, with the one exception.

Yea Naru, used cars are a bitch. But it's a "get what you pay for" when it comes to cars. And when you don't have a lot of money, well.
I looked over it today and from what I can tell nothing is really bad. It's not the trunk that's warped its the fender, which I think I can fix. It looked really bad though because it has a plastic piece on it that really did get screwed up, but is easily replaced.

The bad news though is there is something wrong with the steering. I can spin the wheel back and forth and the wheels don't do jack. Don't have a lot of experience with steering and such so I'm gonna have to find someone to help me.

I hate when crap like this happens. But I thank you who actually cared. smile.gif

Uhg, steering column.
Your going to need some special tools.
If you have somebody who can help,
be sure to work with them on it.
Then it's one more thing you'll know
how to do.
Good luck buddy!
Naru knows how it goes, after
fighting with that old corvair as a teen.

Awww man >,< I laughed because it was during this month that I crashed my car into a pole, two years ago. Should of said something. Sorry, I don't have pics. But it was hilariuos to me is all. I just felt like I wasn't the only one. Like mine, anyway sorry.

Btw how is it that you can't move the front tires when you steer?

Also the steering column is easy to spot. You should jack your car up and have someone look to see if it does anything. Because the only way it wouldn't move is if the shaft itself is broken and to break that is REAL hard. Not even most front collisions break it. So either your steering wheel is tarded or your car has no power steering fluids. Which would make it a bit tough to move back and forth.

What is the make and model anyway? Mine was a Kia Sephia and teh color was blue. Trust me my car would of been on pimp my ride if someone sponsored me. Just rbings back really good memories of it. My sideview mirrors were taped on. One of the doors would open sometimes so I had a lanyard on it to pull it shut while I was driving. The AC would start out really hot, the go to freezing. It would give me 40miles per gallon. I one time went over the side walk with it when my drink fell and I tried to catch it. Oh snap it backfired once while there was a funeral escort going on. It was the single most scary yet hilarious thing to have witnessed. Not sure if you guys knew but cops escort huge funeral thingies. So They looked around and shit I just shrunk down on my chair and hoped it didnt happen again.

jalopy cars = fun times

Yea, it's like my code. Watch and learn as much as possible so I'm not always relying on others for help. smile.gif

It's a 98 Ford Taurus. Yea, it's not the hottest thing on the road. But the engine runs fine. And untill a few days ago there was pretty much nothing wrong with it, other than a few minor details.

Like I said, engine runs fine. Power steering pump is good, and the fluid levels are regular.
I can turn the steering wheel but the wheels don't move.
This leads me to believe something is stripped out, broken off or something along these lines.

But I have an uncle who is a retired mechanic and my dad helping me, so I should be able to get it running as soon as they have time to help me. <.<

mmmmm.....taurus. We had one of those untill it blew the oil filter off and my mom decided to keep driving even though the oil lite came on. If it's any help, I was about 30mins from getting my saab back on the road after it being out of commission for at least a couple months aaaand we ended up snapping the timing chain tensioner which means the whole fucking engine needs to be torn out of the car. I just got the engine lift put together today, got the car up on blocks, front bumper and tires taken off... Tomorrow's project is tearing out the front driveshafts and possibly re-attaching the intake manifold. >.<
No sig for you.

The steering is fixed. My uncle fixed it for me. Something to do with some kind of coupling, not quite sure actually. It was my intention to help and learn but he called me while I was at work and told me him and my dad fixed it. <.< Not gonna complain about that.

The trunk is still all jacked up. My dad and I were just talking about working on this weekend if we have the time.
Atleast I can drive it now. smile.gif

Cool.
Doesn't sound like it was too bad then.
