Yea.
Well, I'm an atheist.
I used to believe in God, I tried to believe in God. And now. I'm just here.
Well I've been keeping it secret from them. And well they found out.
They're not freaking out or anything, but they are acting a little different.

Though, that could be because every time I entered a church, I would slowly walk to the door, jump in, and then laugh. And when asked why, I would say this must not be a real church, cause I didn't burst into flames.

Coincidentally, this is also when I really started using the internet lol
My dad just kinda accepts it, which is surprising because he was really into religion and still is. He's such a cool guy though, so he doesn't push it on me or anything. My mom, when it comes up, will be all like YOU STILL BELIEVE YOU'RE JUST GOING THROUGH A PHASE. I've been going through an eight year phase apparently. It's kinda hard too for me because my aunt and uncle are both ministers in another province so if I go over to visit they're always like "Soooo you coming to church on Sunday?" and I'm like "...fuck that." Not in those words mind you. They're also hypocrites and I haven't talked to them in like a year.
It's not even that I'm an atheist, I'm more of an agnostic. I just don't think we can know without some goddamn proof. Show me, don't tell me etc.

I still goto church. But it's for the "wrong" reasons. I go for friends, and because they actually have some fun stuff and blah. And I do agree with the whole do good and not kill and you know good moral stuff.
I actually had this conversation with a friend when he discovered I didn't believe in God, and he asked me why I came to church and stuff like that. I think that person may have told my parents too.
A lot of people around here though think if you don't believe in God then your just a sinner and heathen and what not.
I don't even smoke. (anymore)
And yea there's alot of hypocrites in churchs, but I think there's a lot of hypocrites everywhere. So yea to that.
The thing that really got me thinking though was when we had a guy preach on the different religions and what others believe. He tried to use logic and common sense to disprove other beliefs. But we can't really prove any of them then can we?

I went to church all up until the age of 15. My mom a JEhovah witness. By most religions I have to say this one is fucking tough! I went through school never celebrating shit! To this day when people ask me if I want something for my bday or Christmas it takes me by surprise and I light up. I was brought up thinking holidays were a sin and not being part of the sheple a sin. All through my experience of going to church. I was always the black sheep. Even in the family though. So it's all good. Btw Luci I agree with you on the self power shit. I used to get pissed off at my mom because I'd thank her for giving me the shit i needed. And she'd be like "No thank god!" and I was like "WTF YOU PUT IN THE HARD WORK" My mom worked hella hard because of her ignorance. She stopped going to school cause they told her the end of the world was going to come. She never helped us for shit in school. She just wanted us to be part of the religion. If I told her i wanted to be something else. I'd get pwned. kk imma stop here I can't handle this shit
Fuck retards! People just love being told what to think and what to fucking do and be part of some social group called religion. Kinda like gangs and shit... The higher up you are the more power you have the moar popular you have. In most religions the people up in the talking square are the rich ones.
I'm a free thinker and so I try to be. People say "Obey these laws." and I question them when they don't make sense. Um another thing is the morals they speak about are like "WTF YOU MUST BE HELLA STUPID TO KONW THAT YOU DON"T KILL PEOPLE RAPE PEOPLE ROB FROM PEOPLE etc etc etc" just common fucking sense. You don't need religion for that also... lol Coveting WTF is up with that rule? If you don't covet you never get what you want! Coveting makes you fucking work to get something it's what motivates you to do something!
Anyway... Buddhist are the only religion I truly respect. They believe in the energy of oneself and that each individual is practically a god or manifest it in some way or form. All in all Energy and that's what I believe in!
Lol i believe in energy and that you can learn to focus it. Also that everything has an equal or opposite reaction just like the laws of gravity.
So all in all I believe in a powerful being but that we make up the powerful being. We are the cogs in the machine and if we think it and try it will happen. Well dream it the w/e. We dreamed we could fly we dream to cross oceans we dreamed to go deep under water we dreamed to see across the universe. WE MADE IT ALL HAPPEN! Because we wanted it to. Of course along the way... The only people that ever got proved wrong were the ones that said "If God didn't give us the power to do so then it will fail!" I say "GUESS WHAT MOTHER FUCKER I HAVE A MICROWAVE!!! POPCORN IN 3 MINS WE IS WATCHING TRANSFORMERS LAWL!"
Love an dpeace

Everyone is shallow, saying you are not is a lie.

Apparently, as Ferrous alluded too.
Jehova's witnesses don't give gifts.

Yeah, I always felt bad for the Jehovah's Witnesses (what a hard word to pluralize) kids in school, they got picked on so bad because they couldn't celebrate anything.
Weren't you brought up as one? I can't remember.
