Theredbaron : (10 February 2012 - 08:52 PM) Birthday coming up soon. Hope someone gives me a Vita. If not, at least a Pi or 2. both would be awesome. If I get the pi I will make a case, with batteries, and use it as a bluetooth mp3 player. :)

Theredbaron : (06 February 2012 - 04:11 AM) Life, tiss full of FARK YOU! Moments.
Warlock : (05 February 2012 - 09:20 AM) LOL :D
Theredbaron : (05 February 2012 - 02:57 AM) Haha, that is the same for me, cept with newegg. :) I checked both stores, cause they are both "good" ones, but newegg was always cheaper for what I wanted, Also, hen I ordered my case it said it would be a week or so to get here, got here in 2 days.
Warlock : (04 February 2012 - 01:27 PM) I'm a Tiger fan but only because when ever I've looked for stuff, Tiger always had what I needed and usually cheaper than NewEgg. I even get great delivery time with Tiger. A lot faster than what's stated! :D
Theredbaron : (03 February 2012 - 07:07 PM) I ended up getting one that tiger didn't have, so :P to tiger.
Theredbaron : (03 February 2012 - 07:07 PM) No where near. Tiger is nothing compared to Newegg. When I built my computer, they only had like, 20 vid cards. Newegg had over 100.
Warlock : (03 February 2012 - 11:05 AM) Tiger and NewEgg are roughly the same. Same selection, same prices. LOL
Theredbaron : (02 February 2012 - 03:59 PM) Eh, more of a newegg man myself. Fark tiger. They have shitty selection.
Warlock : (02 February 2012 - 10:37 AM) Check places like Tiger Direct! :D They always have some great deals going on.
Theredbaron : (01 February 2012 - 08:43 PM) Last I checked they were up 20-30 plus. But I haven't checked in a bit. Not since about a week or two after the big floods.
Warlock : (01 February 2012 - 08:52 AM) I haven't seen much change in prices. I've seen a bunch go down. :D
Theredbaron : (31 January 2012 - 05:26 PM) The bad thing is that now all the prices are going up. DAMN YOU GOD! YOUR FLOODS MAKE ME SPEND MORE!
Warlock : (31 January 2012 - 11:02 AM) LOL :D
Theredbaron : (30 January 2012 - 05:07 PM) You sir, are an arse. Need me a new drive, or 10.
Warlock : (30 January 2012 - 12:43 PM) You asked for it - 128MB Lexar Jump Drive, 2GB Kingston DataTraveler, 4GB PNY Optima SDHC (Digital Camera), 32GB Class 10 Adata SDHC (Camcorder), 8GB SanDisk Micro SDHC (my DS), 2GB Micro SD (wife/daughter's DS), 32GB Transcend SDHC Class 10 (Wii - DML), two 2GB Kodak SD, four 2GB SanDisk SD, 4GB Micro SDHC (Wii). All those 2GB SD cards I had for my Rock Band 3 DLC until I was able to emulate the NAND! :D
Theredbaron : (29 January 2012 - 02:49 PM) Lol, yes. O, just remembered more. I also have a 4gb nano g1 and a 4gb nano g2

Alright, I would like a little help in naming a game. I have looked all over, but the info I have on it is just to common. However, I am hoping one of you will get hit with some memory of playing said machine. Ok, on to the info.

So, it is quite a few years old, probably pre 2000, or right near it, can't really be sure when I first saw it. It was an arcade tank game. Sit down style. Also, it came as a pair(side by side), at least all the ones I saw did, for multiplayer. It had two joysticks for the controls, and you moved just like dual analog, both up for foward, both down for back, ect. And by tank, I don't mean real tanks. No Sherdons, ect. Futuristic type of tanks. You were dropped off in a battle field, and you had to take on your enemy, be they AI, or a buddy. Simple game, not the kind I normally like, but for some reason I did. The ones I played were all yellow, or orangeish. Also, I don't think they were that "big", cause not many places had them.

And sadly, that is all the info I can remember. I hope it strikes a cord with one of you guys, and you can lead me to the name...
Or a working rom...

Nope, not that one. That one uses a steering wheel. The one I am trying to name has just to joysticks. But thanks for trying.

I think you are refereing to T-mek, a great sit down arcade unit with 2 joysticks, vibrating seats and speakers by your ears. You played a futuristic tank with light and heavy weapons, and you couild find upgrades and ammo in the arena. It was simple and I have to admit, realy fun to play with a friend. The units here are four linked up, good times indeed. Hope this helps.

Dang, I think that might be it! Thanks for joining just to help me out. Dang, 1994, was able to get the rom already. Old roms are so much easier to find.

Now, just got to find a good MAME frontend that lets me use my dual analog joystick. So I can check it out and be sure. smile.gif

Thanks so much again.

NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is not emulated. sad.gif

From your description it could possibly be CYBER SLED.
Attached Image: monthly_11_2009/post-6391-1257291602.jpg

No M.A.M.E yet.

It's available on the Wii's virtual arcade for Japan.
Use free the wads to region change it.
It supports the clasic controller with the two sticks.

Pretty fun game.
The AI gets tough fast,
and the time limit pisses Naru off.

Both awesome and sad. Awesome cause that IS the game. Sad, cause I have no wii. So very sad. No mame, no wii. sad.gif

Still, now that I know the real name I will be sure to stay abreast of it, and 1 more reason to get a wii.

Virtual Console is probably the best reason to get a Wii.
Gotta' love Konami's REBIRTH series.
GRADIUS REBIRTH,
CONTRA REBIRTH,
and just recently
CASTLEVANIA REBIRTH.

It's these games and some
of the actual Wii games like Punch-Out
that make it feel a bit like the
old Nintendo days.

Yeah, don't like much new games, just a few good ones a year. But I would prefer emu's. They always change things when they port them.

Also, YEAH FOR PSX!

Did you see the cover art for
the Playstation Cyber Sled?
It's so fucked up.
You would never know
it was this arcade tank game from it.

Ha, yeah, noticed that too. I saw that, and thought maybe it was a different game. Had to check around to make sure it really was a port of it. But it really is. Freaking awesome. Just the weirdest cover art.

EDIT:

Well, I got it playing on my PSP, took some time, didn't want to work.
But I got to say, this is going to take some time to get a hang of. Converting dual analog to digital and buttons makes it kinda weird. Weird, and hard as HECK.

Though now I am positive. It is the game of old. Awesomeness. Trust Nerd King Naru (hm, notice how they all have just 4 letters? Coincidence, I think not) for all your gaming help.

How far can you get in Cyber Sled Baron?
That time limit is brutal, you really gotta' be gun ho.
If you lose sight of your opponent it's over.

Wait, you got it running on Mame? Cause I coudn't get it to work.
Back when I played it on the arcade machine I made it through 4 lvls, I think, been a long time. On the PS1 version, which I played on my psp, I beat the game.
