That could have been weirder, but not by much sex.
You know, USB modems are pretty cheap nowadays. You can get one for under 20$. I know it seems it, but I am not so addicted to the net as to need one, but they would come in handy at times like that.

Sweet jesus fuck I hate Vista. This computer has given me nothing but grief.
Have you seen that advertisement
for Windows Mohave or something.
Everyone's going on how great
it is and then the dude says
it's really Windows Vista.
That always cracks Naru up.
Nice try Microsoft.

Yeah, I guess as a base, it is ok. But the problem is that there was no support for anything, driver wise. As time moves on, it is getting better, but still. Pass.

The woman on the other end of the tech support was really rude to mom. She's like WELL YOU SHOULD KNOW VISTA ISN'T VERY GOOD FOR DRIVERS. Mom's like uhhh no. I just bought this computer, my old computer was Windows 98.

My new laptop is running vista, and I'm pretty sure I'm stuck with it as I don't think XP has as good multitouch/tablet support. I actually haven't had any problems yet, most likely because It's a prebuilt system with all the drivers preinstalled. It definately has as performance hiccup now and again, that's probably from the whole aero thing though. Definately the best vista experience I've had so far, loads of problems on my custom built desktop, so I guess pre-made is the way to go for vista.
Fooled around with windows 7 last night too. Seems like it's got a lot of potential. It installed pretty quickly, had wireless drivers and many others set up off the bat. But, there were no drivers for any of the cool things (Fingerprint reader, multitouch) I thought windows 7 was supposed to incorporate multitouch throughout the system, which is why I really wanted to test it out, but I guess they haven't gotten there yet. I don't think it's even in official beta yet though, so I guess you can't really expect too much yet. A couple of you tried it out right? Is there anything cool I should take a look at?
