Theredbaron : (10 February 2012 - 08:52 PM) Birthday coming up soon. Hope someone gives me a Vita. If not, at least a Pi or 2. both would be awesome. If I get the pi I will make a case, with batteries, and use it as a bluetooth mp3 player. :)
Warlock : (09 February 2012 - 11:45 AM) ROFLMMFAO@Theredbaron! :D

Theredbaron : (06 February 2012 - 04:11 AM) Life, tiss full of FARK YOU! Moments.
Warlock : (05 February 2012 - 09:20 AM) LOL :D
Theredbaron : (05 February 2012 - 02:57 AM) Haha, that is the same for me, cept with newegg. :) I checked both stores, cause they are both "good" ones, but newegg was always cheaper for what I wanted, Also, hen I ordered my case it said it would be a week or so to get here, got here in 2 days.
Warlock : (04 February 2012 - 01:27 PM) I'm a Tiger fan but only because when ever I've looked for stuff, Tiger always had what I needed and usually cheaper than NewEgg. I even get great delivery time with Tiger. A lot faster than what's stated! :D
Theredbaron : (03 February 2012 - 07:07 PM) I ended up getting one that tiger didn't have, so :P to tiger.
Theredbaron : (03 February 2012 - 07:07 PM) No where near. Tiger is nothing compared to Newegg. When I built my computer, they only had like, 20 vid cards. Newegg had over 100.
Warlock : (03 February 2012 - 11:05 AM) Tiger and NewEgg are roughly the same. Same selection, same prices. LOL
Theredbaron : (02 February 2012 - 03:59 PM) Eh, more of a newegg man myself. Fark tiger. They have shitty selection.
Warlock : (02 February 2012 - 10:37 AM) Check places like Tiger Direct! :D They always have some great deals going on.
Theredbaron : (01 February 2012 - 08:43 PM) Last I checked they were up 20-30 plus. But I haven't checked in a bit. Not since about a week or two after the big floods.
Warlock : (01 February 2012 - 08:52 AM) I haven't seen much change in prices. I've seen a bunch go down. :D
Theredbaron : (31 January 2012 - 05:26 PM) The bad thing is that now all the prices are going up. DAMN YOU GOD! YOUR FLOODS MAKE ME SPEND MORE!
Warlock : (31 January 2012 - 11:02 AM) LOL :D
Theredbaron : (30 January 2012 - 05:07 PM) You sir, are an arse. Need me a new drive, or 10.
Warlock : (30 January 2012 - 12:43 PM) You asked for it - 128MB Lexar Jump Drive, 2GB Kingston DataTraveler, 4GB PNY Optima SDHC (Digital Camera), 32GB Class 10 Adata SDHC (Camcorder), 8GB SanDisk Micro SDHC (my DS), 2GB Micro SD (wife/daughter's DS), 32GB Transcend SDHC Class 10 (Wii - DML), two 2GB Kodak SD, four 2GB SanDisk SD, 4GB Micro SDHC (Wii). All those 2GB SD cards I had for my Rock Band 3 DLC until I was able to emulate the NAND! :D
Theredbaron : (29 January 2012 - 02:49 PM) Lol, yes. O, just remembered more. I also have a 4gb nano g1 and a 4gb nano g2

As a quick note, this is not the place for Bleach. Nor is it a place for Death Note. It is especially not the place for Naruto. If you like these anime, that's fine, and you are very welcome to them, but i am hoping to talk, possibly in depth, rather about the ones i am more interested in, and which may be slightly more obscure. For these see Trigun, see Lucky Star, see The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, see Fruit's basket among others.

Here's hoping this doesn't flop with me looking like an arrogant *beep*, so fingers crossed everyone...

Now then i find it hard to know what to talk about here as i always thought that these anime were particularly well rounded off, with few questions to be asked or flaws to be pointed out, so rather i'd like to applaud the makers of Trigun for such a clever plot intermixed seamlessly with various levels of comedy (read- fun for all the family), so it is a shame that for various reasons that company went under and the people who worked on it were dispersed among another. As far as both Trigun and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and now that i think about it Fruit's basket go i saw the american dub, but Lucky star was of course in good old fashioned text, as the dub is only coming out around now. Unfortunately they didn't...get the best voice cast but i feel they did a good job considering how badly they could've gone.

Any opinions chaps and chapettes? I'm all ears.

I've seen fruit basket... but the voice for the orange haired guy (i forget carrot tops name) his voice actor(aka jimmy kudo aka happy bunny) didn't match the charator until near the series where you got used to it...

What i hate about funimation is that they reuse voices

ex:
Piccolo - solty rei
Krillin - slingshot boy from one picece
ect. i think you get my point
damn i found this place from googling my name LOL

Hmm, He be called Kyo if i recall correctly, and aye re-using people rarely works well, though i think i can safely say that Johnny Bosch never gets old, and likely never will. Just keep living like some giant snapping turtle or some such.
...i may have mixed up my meanings there but hopefully you can see what i mean.

Have you watched Dennou Coil? One of my recently finished animes. The ending was great in my opinion, better than most i've watched. I've stopped watching Bleach and Naruto, i just read Naruto's manga.

Ah, Flame, I think I might like you. A nice none main-stream anime thread.

I love Trigun, and am trying to get Lucky Star. As for Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya or Fruit's Basket, I have heard of them, but not much. Are they any good? What type of show are they?

My favorite are SciFi shows with a bit of romance thrown in, AKA Vandread, Chobits, ect.

Fruit's basket is a romanticy sort of people-who-don't-fit-in drama, with a transforming family thrown in for fun.
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is very science fictiony, there's lots of stuff like time travel and alternate dimensions and philosophical dilemmas and the like. But with quite a bit of comic relief in too, and generally fun to watch, though there is quite a bit of "fanservice" insofar as the charachter Mikuru but i'd say everyone acts as befitting their charachters so it makes sense. And yes it has romance too. Interesting too is that i gather the second series will be appearing at some point in the near future so there's that to look forward to.
I'm kinda new to this myself, i'm just fortunate that the one showing me all this has such good taste- hence i have heard of but know nothing about Vandread or Chobits.

Chobits: it's a show about a mass killer robot name LUcy, the Killer
she kills and kills until she mets another robot where they settle down and stop killing. biggrin.gif

Real Chobits: It's about a robot who has no memory of anything and a boy finds her in the trash, and steals her. he lies to himself and says "it's recycling" as he develops feelings for the robot she to does. Long story short. dude finds robot, ask for help on how to take care of it.

Imo Demonbane is pretty solid. I really dont like dubbed anime since it really takes away from the characters. Hence why the japanese version of dragon ball will always be my fav. As of naruto not sure why a lot of people flame on it, but w/e. As of thought Steel Angel Kurumi is sorta like chobits but with a more steampunk super weird 1920 era with awesome future Poopy in the past.

I still say hands down though that the best anime i ever watched was Fencer Minerva(it's a hentai.) J.k
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Though I'd have to say if you really want a good fresh anime i'd go for XXXHolic, synopsis:

Boy sees ghosts!!!

lol

Up intill a few months ago I stayed away from straight romance because I don't really like "ecchi" scenes but I got stuck away from home, and used PSPtube to get some shows, and Ai Yori Aoshi was easy to find. I really liked that, so now I do watch them too. So I guess I should give Fruit's basket a try. And now I have to watch The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. biggrin.gif

And closest thing to "hentai" I have ever seen is a very "ecchi" show called CPU. I watched it because I was told that it was a bit like Chobits. It was, but well, very, very, very ecchi. not hentai, but dang close. However it was one of the funniest shows I have ever seen. When the dang apples showed up, I could help but laugh.

Full Metal Panic is another of the shows I have sitting on my hard drive waiting to watch. I have over a dozen shows waiting to be watched. I really need to get around to it.

By the way, anyone have an Anime Planet account? It helps me keep track of what shows I have seen, watching, and ones that I want to watch. I would give a link to my profile, but it seems that I can't access the site for some reason.

It really isn't. It gets damn close, but never shows anything. And it is funny as hell, though you are a bit young to watch it. So go ahead and don't watch it.
