I looked, and unless I'm missing it (in which case, let me express my apologies) there isn't a topic about the new live action Iron Man movie that's coming out.
Come now, I know we'll have an opinion on that gem, if Spiderman and Transformers both get a thread. Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing it, and couldn't imagine a better actor to play tony stark than the one they cast (robert downey Jr. )
But what do you think?

Right now Iron Man is slated for release in May... so not that far away!
And how perfectly did they friggen cast that movie?
Robert Downey Jr. as Iron man
Terrence Howard as War Machine
Samuel L Jackson as Nick Fury! (holy hell that's a good cast right there)

I'd probably watch the movie for nostalgia's sake but I personally didn't like Iron Man as a concept when I first read/watched Iron Man as a kid. Actually, I still don't like Iron Man's concept but I'm willing to go watch it to see what they've changed from "canon" Iron Man.
See, Batman didn't need to rely on anyone else. He was swift, sudden, and overwhelming. Iron Man... well, Iron Man has War Machine, and they usually break into things and leave things in a mess. It's a vast difference. At least with Batman, the building is still standing. >_>
I guess this means that I like stealth-based heroes more than the brute force heroes.

Though the trailer looks promising with the metal
music playing in the background. Naru doubts the movie
in its entirety will deliver as much punch.
A good IRON MAN movie would be the Iron man suit blowing
stuff up for an hour and a half, however what you’re going
to get is about 10 minutes of that, and the other hour and 20 will
be of the drama queen Tony Stark crap and the origin story.

Then probably a sequel with 30% drama, 70% explosions.

And I will faithfully watch them both, even knowing that. Lol. I'm a comic book nerd, it's a unspoken law that I watch even the ones I think will suck.
That's why I saw The Hulk and Transformers. (though transformers was really more cartoon than comic book. you get the idea)

That would be a small step in the right direction.

You two act like you arent going to see it. Fess up, we both know you're gonna. Good or bad... it's Stan Lee.
This may be the only thing on the planet I'll confess to being a fanboy of... comic book movies. They're like video crack, I've always gotta take that hit where I can find it.
Ah and yea, Re: the Hulk... yea I hated it, honestly. But I went and saw it knowing I probably wouldn't like it... the CGI was just cheesy in it and the acting wasnt much better.
I have higher hopes for iron man.

Not necessarily, I still haven't watched Spiderman 3. I probably will not watch this one either.
