Personally, I dislike MMORPGs.
They're pretty much just like regular
RPGs, only with crippled story lines
and unbalanced characters, making
the best way to spend your time
pointless grinding, which is just
rather boring. Some of the more
social MMORPGs I like, you know,
when it's all about juts having
fun, and only losers care about
being level 99 and having the
Almighty Sword of +84 Killing.

MMORPG tend to get boring. Sure there's some updates here and there but I don't think RPG's are meant to be played with that many people. When you're playing a normal RPG, you're character gets developed very nicely(well actually, it depends but you get my point) but in MMORPG, you're character gets no developement because they have to fair and your stuck being a generic player. Ergo, people, such as myself, aren't as captivated by them.

I don't find them fun. There's too many people and it's not an intimate experience like with normal RPGs, where there's a story and characters that you can get into.
Plus, there's always the unpleasant experience of a troll or 1337-speaker. >_>

I first played Ragnartok Online... eventually I stopped because the top-up was too costly, plus the graphics were way way behind the new MMORPG releases.
Merciless Byakuya: Vibrant Display of Thousands of Destructive Cherry BlossomsI hate hypocrisy. I appreciate honesty. I live by the way of the Shinigami. Narrow-minded, arrogant, and repressed people make me sick. I'd still want to believe that people in this world would live by the way of the Bushido. I say, throw inhibitions to the wind.

Well someone mention bonding with characters and not with those from MMOs. Well I kind of think it'd be reversed because you have more choice over individuality with your character. You can usually change their looks. What makes a level 99 Cloud different from other level 99 Clouds? Usually very very little.

I am a not much of a fan of MMORPG's, the stories take to long to develope, if thay have one. And before anyone flames me, i have indeed played several. I was one of the first to log in and play FFXI, for the PC. just to show how early i played, i had a 6 letter login name. I also played wow until level 37 as a rouge, and I played RO for quite a while. I even set up my own servers for WoW and RO (didn't open them to anyone but myself, just to see if i could do it.) which actually made the experience worse.
