Hello There,
I am the Admin of Retromags.com, We are a small site that dedicates themselves to the preservation of old video game magazines. We have scanned the entire Nintendo Power collection from 1988-2002. We only scan video game magazines that have been out for 5 or more years.
I notice your great site places announcements each time a rom/iso is released by a scene group. What I would like to propose is something similar with Retromags magazine releases. Most of your members are probably die hard emulation fans, as such they probably collect the roms, artwork, manuals....etc. I think having our magazine releases announced along side of the scene releases would complement each other very well.
Each one of my releases has an nfo file included with them stating what the magazine basically covers, We not only have Nintendo Power magazines, but EGM, PSM, GamePro, GameFan, Game Informer, Sega Visions. These magazines make for interesting reads, especially durring the fanboy wars of Nintendo and Sega.
Let me know if you would be interested in announcing our scene releases. I look forward from hearing from you

Theres no problem with that
We can work something out. I'm sure many wouldn't mind taking a look at magazine releases. This would help us all
Do you have Instant Messenger where we could discuss this further ?

Naru remembers a time when NINTENDO POWER
was running a LEGEND OF ZELDA comic that was
pretty awesome. Naru would love to have those again.

So are the Metriod, Battletoads, SMB, and Kirby comics from the Nintendo Powers
(still working on the pokemon ones)

Indeed this sounds interesting, however I'm only a moderator and my opinion is not necessarily gospel. So it's up to Flea, Panda and Cric.

You'd be better off PMing or E-mailing the Flea. That'd be the fastest way to start the connection.

Hopefully the Flea is still considering the reformation of the validation system.
Whether or not you are an admin the top of the chain needs to be consulted with first.
Perhaps we can have a series of updates that occur that assist in the reactivation of Rom-Source.

Sorry for my absence, Anyways back to the question at hand.
I am ready to start announcing gaming magazine releases, Which section of the forum should I do this in? Should I make seperate threads for each release? And Finally....Where can I upload these releases so that they can be accessed through your Download System?
Thanks

I'm not the admin but I would say that you could probably put them in our FTP. As for a thread we could probably set aside a new forum, but I'm not making any promises.. I'll wait for the Flea to get to you on this one.

Thanks for the reply, I am soo close to having the entire Nintendo Power collection scanned from issue 001-161 (only missing 4 issues), And I have already acquired full year sets of the following
Next Generation 1997
Xbox 2001
Xbox 2002
Gamepro 1993
Gamepro 1996
Gamepro 1997
Gamepro 1998
Gamepro 1999
In addition I also have about 75% of all the Sega Vision magazines in existance, along with the first 4 years of PSM (maybe missing 5 issues)
So I have alot coming down the pipeline and would love to create a partnership with you guys
