hey guys, i'm not sure if this is in the right place but you can move it if its not right?
anywayy, is anyone with a newish ds lite having trouble connecting to wifi on homebrew games/applications?
i say new because when i do everything exactly the same as my friends it still doesnt work, and i got mine only a few months ago.
sooo, anyone know a reason and a solution to this?
i only really want to get on the Beup msn app to talk to my friends before wifi games
another thing i reckon would be good, why don't we all make a new msn address and post them here so before going on wifi on a game we can log on to Beup and see if anyones online and willing to play?

I did some searching and came across this program. Apparently the newer dslites store the wfc data differently so homebrew that uses the wifilib can't correctly read it; this program patches it. It also seems like people are having mixed results with the program, it works for some people and not for others, so I can't give you any guarantee.

Hi, I'm interested on using wifi on my DS lite, I red that it works only with some special hardware/driver, can someone give me some commercial product known to work?
It' s possible to connect the DSlite directly through an Access Point for internet browsing?
Thanks in advance for your help.

As long as you have a wifi router you should be able to 'connect' to the internet. I'm not sure whether or not certian routers don't work, but i'm sure most all do. But connecting and browsing are two different things on the ds; you'll either have to usee a hombrew browser(requires a flash cart) or you'll need to buy nintendo's opera browser. You'll probly want to use nintendo's browser, even though i've heard it's not that great, because homebrew browsers have yet to be realesed that have as many features as opera.

Thanks for the reply silent3xecution, I already can run homebrew software on my DS lite, so can I for example run an homebrew IM client, configure my laptop wi-fi card to act as a bridge/gateway to my DSL connection and without any other software/hardware on my laptop start a chat?Is this correct?Any experience?
TIA

What you need is the "Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector". I'm pretty sure that's the only way to get your ds on your internet connection without a wifi router, so i don't think you can configure your existing card to connect to your ds.
Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector < Theres the link to Circuit City's page on the connector. But the price is going to be $39.99 most everywhere you go to find it.
