Anyone notice any major differences between the 2 of these?

I got the M3 and my friend got the R4 and aside from the OS that came with them, I cant tell any real difference.

no differences except m3 gets update later than R4. I read on another forum that R4 stated that the their factory also made M3.

Apart from the names and the firmware nothing much to shout about.

I have been looking at a DS Linker with 1GB inbuilt, but I'm not to sure if its any good compared to the R4 I already have.

Yeah they are actually the same thing (Hardware wise), Only thing that differentiates them is a switch and slightly different firmware.

There is a program that lets you use both firmwares on either one. If any one wants it, I could find it.

Here's the patch by IQ_132. It can be used to convert (Chinese R4 to English R4), and (R4 into M3) or is it (M3 to R4) or (maybe both). http://rapidshare.com/files/40483327/patch02.zip.html

They are in fact the same, just with different logos and companies pretty much. If anyone says that either one is better than the other because of which certain feature......they obviously are just fanboys of either one.

^ It's pretty much the same thing as the r4 as said by previous users. But.. doesn't anyone see that if they ARE the same company, they can [and I think they DID.. jack up prices as much as they want?]

I only own the M3 Slot2, but my opinion goes in favour of the R4, even though M3 stands for quality, R4/M3 are EXACTLY the same, Therefore, in my mind, cheapest comes first.

I haven't seen much of a difference between the two but for some reason people like the R4 more than the M3.

^Probably because R4 gets updates a little earlier than M3 as the above posters said. Probably a little cheaper, too.

M3 Vs r4

Both does the same thing r4 has nicer sticker than m3. They both originate from 1 company but 2 developer.

MY vote is R4 as the firmware are out much faster like other people said.

I am still struggle to play movie .

i own a m3 Ds Simply and im quite happy with it, if theres no difference it doesnt matter which one you own because its exactly the same thing. it would be like comparing bottled water
