This is taken from another forum I'm a mod if. http://www.onrpg.com
"It seems that Blizzard will be announcing it's new project soon. On May 19th actually. If you go to www.Blizzard.com you will find a time line of all the games Blizzard has made so far and a "?" at the end of it. As you can see we're well over half way through the time line.
May 13th - http://blizzard.com/images/splash/day1.jpg WC & WC2
May 14th - http://blizzard.com/images/splash/day2.jpg DIABLO
May 15th - http://blizzard.com/images/splash/day3.jpg STARCRAFT
May 16th - http://blizzard.com/images/splash/day4.jpg DIABLO II
May 17th - WARCRAFT III
May 18th - WORLD OF WARCRAFT
May 19th - New project should (hopefully) be revealed."
Interesting, any thoughts on this?

you know, it could just be yet ANOTHER WoW addon, they could be pulling a everquest and dropping an expansion every year. I would LOVE to see a starcraft 2 though. And those numerous 'hints' are just rumors, we won't know what is gonna be released until it's released.

I don't see the point in it, it would just be WoW convoluted into the starcraft universe. Besides, with the secret level in brood wars, I've been REALLY looking forward to starcraft 2. Now if your friend doesn't get out at all and he's playing WoW, I could see that, since Starcraft is a step up from Warcraft (and it always has been), then I could see him becoming a Universe of Warcraft hermit. Hmm, they couldn't call it World of Starcraft... because isn't starcraft more than one world... and space stations? I mean, warcraft has always been on one world, barring the 'beyond the dark gate' part, which they have already integrated into WoW.

*nods* I did the MMO thing a long time ago, and then learned... there was no point, at some point the stories stop, and the game ceases to be fun for me. So, I would prefer a starcraft 2 instead of a 20 bux a month +50 for the game +30+ per expansion to play MMO 'experience'. I guess an experience that drains the wallet constantly is an experience I can live without... unless it's a good lay.

MMOs are nothing more than a money drain and huge social experiment gone slightly wrong. At least with conventional games you can sit down and play short sessions, ain't gonna see that all too often on MMOs with 2-8 hour raids or w/e. Only MMO-style game I've ever really played (not on a friends copy) is Guild Wars - and THAT is addictive, despite being a huge scale down from the likes of WoW.
I'd never go NEAR a Starcraft MMO, but (after I eventually upgrade my PC) I'd buy a Starcraft II (or Diablo III providing it's not a pay monthly MMO) as I'd enjoy it, yet still maintain a life! WOO!

Any of the following and I'd be fine with buying it:
Starcraft 2 (Like the good ole' days)
Diablo III (Possibly, hard to keep it getting better)
Lost Vikings III (Stick with the classics).

I guess the project is Starcraft 2, from what I heard.
Which is, imho, a very good thing. I found starcraft I to be one of the most interesting storyline in a STR. And it is also one of the first STR to have multiple races with "real" differences. I know that there were already STR where the units are different but what I mean is the feeling you get when you play with a race.
For example, when you play as zerg, you get your units and buildings very differently than if you played with the Terrans. Which has lead the game to some unbalances, but nothing really major (again, in my humble opinion).
A diablo 3 would be great, but I waited for a Starcraft 2 for a long time
