Alien Vs. Predator 2 Update
Directors have been hired for the sci fi sequel! Greg and Colin Strause (the Brothers Strause) will make their directorial debut on Alien vs. Predator 2 for 20th Century Fox, according to IGN Filmforce... The brothers have done special effects for X-Men: The Last Stand, Fantastic Four and The Day After Tomorrow. The script will be provided by Shane Salerno and filming should begin this September, according to Variety. "We really want to take it back to the original 'Alien' and 'Predator' films and make a serious, gritty horror film," Colin Strause said. "We want to take it back to its roots, without losing sight of the human struggle," added Greg Strause. "That's what made the originals so good."
Look for the sequel Aug. 10, 2007.

In this follow-up to the worldwide hit "Alien vs. Predator," the iconic monsters from two of the scariest film franchises ever, wage their most brutal battle yet in an unsuspecting Colorado town.

Puppeteer Morris Chapdelaine Talks Alien vs. Predator 2

Morris Chapdelaine - Actually there are several puppeteers for AVP2. The creatures required many talented individuals to work together to bring them to life and I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to work on such an exciting project! As far as what being a puppeteer entailed on this project the list is quite long. I was closely involved with a team of professional puppeteers and film technicians working together on AVP2. From suit work and sfx make-up to hand, rod, cable, animatronics and hydraulic puppeteering- we did it all and often all together. I was lucky enough to work on all of the above and MORE on AVP2. Without giving too much away- there was certainly a large variety of creature work in this film! I think the fans will go nuts when they see what we have in store for them.

I'll watch it, it can't be nearly as bad as some of the other stuff I've seen lately... I expect it to be.... well... another AvP movie...

Naru didn't see the ALIEN vs. PREDATOR movie.
Was it any good?
Naru does remember reading many an Alien vs. Predator
Darkhorse comics back in the 90's.
Also loved the Capcom arcade game.

the AvP movies are not based on the comics or the games. It was specifically done to be apart of all of that.

And AvP2 will involve humans, it's set in a midwest town this time.

Dawnveil I seem to remember reading one of the early AVP comics and it was quite similar to the film. You know the whole lone human standing with the Preds against the Aliens. Although the location was slightly different if I remember rightly.
My mate was in the AVP film as it was mostly a Brit film not rally connected but interesting (to me).

Don't you think they have dragged out the Alien and the Predator thing by now....Come on guys!!!! Lets have something new for a change....Wonder if they'll beat Police Academy??????
