I say we make a point system...again
so you need like a certain ammount of points to download...
however eilte members and above get like either half the points needed or no restrictions.
to prevent leeching I think this might be a good idea...
feedback please!!!

I don't think it would work for long.

If a person wanted to leach, they could reply with a single word about 50 times in a topic, then rush and download everything before the posts were deleted.

ok dude...so I mentioned the point system...you post an amount and you gain points
and each download needs a specific ammount of points to download.
it was very useful...but who am I kidding...prolly you're not even gonna comeback to read this...

Every post I've seen of yours is insulting. You are treating all new members badly. Take a step back and look. I've got contact info, an actual avatar that isn't from the site, and I've taken the time to actually type out messages instead of one word posts. I see your name is generic, with numbers in it even. Use the shift key when you start a sentence. You have been gone for a long time. I know you were an admin someplace, but god dangit, show some frickin' respect.

I just said a way your suggestion can be taken advantage of. It was thoughtfull and laid out well.

I think its a good idea, compared to the 5 posts needed to download currently. Say you need 10 points to download, and you only get 1 point per post (for the noobs) and for the elites and other user groups you can make it so they get like 5 points a post. As for leeches, it would be obvious that they are leeches because they would have to post 10 times for 1 download, and then keep that up to satisfy their need to be a parasite...

Now that you mention it, we were going back and forth. However, he had been condescending publicly. That's why I replied in kind. I already gave my reasons for what I said.

However, you went out of your way to do this. Don't know why. We've settled it, you just trying to rekindle this for your amusement? Talk about kicking a dead horse.

I may have been a member for five days, but that doesn't mean I didn't already know of what you have tried in the past. I looked it up beforehand.
(Second)I don't seem to understand why you are telling me that you post for your amusement, but 'whatever floats your boat'.
(Third)Remember the unwritten rules of the internet. Afterall, if you could say whatever you wanted, then what about those people who get banned?

I apologize for having to fix what you said. You see, I learned the internet before people lacked the ability to say whole words. I may have started it by using AOL 3.0, but that was before AOL Speak existed.

What I would like to know are the actual reasons the point system was gotten rid of.

Bringing it back doesn't seem like such a bad idea, I think the only reason it got removed was because IPB got updated and no one bothered to update or re-install it. It wont stop people from coming in and posting useless crap just to download though, Iv just about given up on that dream. Hell when i first came here i came to leech the PSX isos but that was like 3 or more years ago

well i know i havent been here lon enough but common sense makes me think if we geta point system there'll just be more spamming you know not many sites have nds roms and ppl will just post more crap then neededbut then on the other hand some ppl might just get lazy and say *beep* it so i think not keeping will make less spamming

We can call it "Leechfest 07" and pwn all them spammers!
Well...thats what I'd like to do...cuz people are saying that when that one rom came out, (KH:CoM) people started spamming to get it...
and they said it was a contest amoung admins and mods...who ever kills most wins...I only got 3...xD
gives me more reason to help actually!
