This is the most criminally underapreciated movie of all time. Released in 2000, in stars the best actors around, Christian Bale. In the movie, Bale plays Patrick Batemen, a vice president at a finicial firm in the cocaine years of the 80's. He has everything. He is a harvard graduate, has all the money in the world, is young and attractive, and has a good lucking girlfriend. But none of it satisfies him. He has violent thoughts constantly, and more often than not, they pour out into the real world. Patrick kills, for reasons unknown to him most of the time. He kills out of spite, jelousy, and reasons unknown to him, as he sometimes targets people he would like to remain alive.
This is easily one of my favorite movies out of many I have seen, and that is more than 3,000, probably. Its thought provokingly dark, violent, and beatiful. I cant recomend a movie high enough.
Posted this because Naru said he/she...sorry, dont know which...I'll assume male since the vast majority of forum people are male...said he hadnt seen a movie he enjoyed besides Star Wars in decades.
