Well seeing as how DS already came out i guess people that dont have a DS yet will get Lite seeing as how its the same price(here in Canada anyway)but i think the DS sold more units than the Lite since it only came out awhile ago

why is this even a topic? the only advantage i know of that original ds has over ds lite is it can play GB and GBC games. the lite can't cuz the hardware wouldn't fit in it's new slim body.

Old DS is cool, it's the original one and all that stuff. But DS Lite is definetly better, small and cute.

There is just he thing that many people have a old DS at the moment and to buy just the Lite because its more stylish isn`t really worth it.

Well the lite has it's plusses and minuses. If I remember correctly, the original DS could play regular GB and GBC games, where the lite cannot. The lite also has a brighter lit screen, more than likely causing a loss in battery life. But, it's lighter, smaller, and whatever.

just bought a DSLite, love it, but i think the old one got better "texture" if you see what i mean, by all means, i dont really care which one sells better, i just hope DS can crush PSP

ds lite its because its easier to store and carry and you can adjust the brightness unlike the original, you can only choose the backlight to be off or on for the original

Its actually depends on the person bcuz some ppl like originals(hardcore fans tongue.gif) i personally like the DS becuase its so glossy and more neatly. the first ds its like someone just put two covers together or something

Personally, the only difference I see is that one is thinner.. unless its a hardware update or something.. Your better off with the orginal cause its thick.. meaning it can take a tad bit for punishment
